Volvo is making a huge commitment to renewable energy, and our company plans on making every vehicle in our lineup fully electric by 2030. One new electric Volvo model that we're most excited about is the Volvo C40, and we have some early details about it.
Power and Acceleration
The Volvo C40 comes with two electric motors – one mounted to each axle – that combine to produce 402 horsepower and 486 lb.-ft. of torque. An incredibly quick Volvo SUV, the Volvo C40 comes with all-wheel drive and can go from zero to 60 mph in just 4.7 seconds.
Driving Range
The Volvo C40 comes with a 75-kWh battery that will let you drive up to 210 miles when fully charged. With a DC fast charging station, you will be able to get up to an 80 percent charge in only 40 minutes.
Tech Features
You will get an Android-based operating system with the Volvo C40. The built-in navigation system will be powered by Google Maps, and voice control comes courtesy of Google Assistant. This SUV will also be capable of getting over-the-air software updates.
