With 2021 halfway over, it’s time to think about the new 2022 model year and all that it has to offer. One new Volvo model we are particularly excited to see is the new Volvo XC40, and we're eager to share the early details we have about the 2022 model.
Power and Performance
The Volvo XC40 comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 187 horsepower. You can also take advantage of a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder unit that pumps out 248 horsepower. Both engines are paired with a smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive, but all-wheel drive is available as well.
Space and Comfort
Both rows in this Volvo SUV are spacious, and up to five people will fit very comfortably. Standard amenities include leather upholstery and an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, but available features include heated front and back seats and an eight-way power-adjustable front passenger seat. Not to mention, the cargo room in this small SUV is impressive: 20.7 cubic feet behind the back row and 47.2 cubic feet when it’s down.
Tech and Safety
You’ll love all of the advanced features you will find in the new Volvo XC40. Every model comes with a user-friendly nine-inch infotainment touchscreen, along with satellite and HD radio, Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration, and an eight-speaker sound system. There are also numerous safety components, including forward collision mitigation, blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, and adaptive headlights.
