In our eyes, the most exciting upgrade that Volvo Cars is making is by to the award-winning T6 gasoline engine. When placed in the popular and award-winning Volvo XC90, the T6 all-wheel drive engine will generate 320 horsepower and400 pound-foot of torque while being paired to a smooth shifting and refined eight-speed automatic transmission. The T6 E-Drive engine was previously named “Engine of the Year” by Digital Trends for its effective level of balance across comfort, efficiency, and power. We believe that the addition of all-wheel drive will only serve to make this engine more impressive and fun to drive!
Additionally, the Volvo Cars’ driver control interface, Sensus, will receive updates across the product range in the form of an updated Navigation system that features real-time traffic information and free lifetime map updates. It also now has Apple CarPlay functionality in the Volvo XC90. Along with the upgrades to navigation and iPhone connectivity, it now offers new in-car apps such as Yelp and Glympse, which is a real-time location-sharing app. The brands popular smartphone app, Volvo On Call, will get additional upgrades including engine remote start and the ability to preset your climate controls.
