At Fields Volvo Northfield, we are proud to represent an automaker that is always seeking out new ways to connect with its customers and reward them with an incomparable brand experience. During the Super Bowl this year, Volvo Cars introduced the "Greatest Interception Ever" campaign, which invited viewers to tweet with the hashtag #VolvoContest any time a car commercial aired in order to nominate friends and family members who they felt deserved a new 2015 Volvo XC60.

Our Northfield dealership was excited to see the campaign gain recognition at the 62nd Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity ceremony, where it received a Grand Prix award via Grey New York. The campaign was chosen from among 2,813 entries and praised by judges for its "strategic" and "real-time" use of media on game day.

Developed by the brand's creative agency Grey New York, the Greatest Interception Ever is now seeing its winners behind the wheel of a new Volvo vehicle. Judges combed through thousands of entries to determine the five winners below.

·         Beth Davalos of Winter Park, Fla., was nominated by her aunt for her efforts to assist homeless children in her role as the leader of Families in Transition in Seminole County.

·         Megan Flick of St. Mary's, Iowa, earned a nomination from her daughter as a result of her work with emotionally disturbed children along with her recently earned nursing school degree, which will lead her to a career as a behavioral health nurse.

·         Adil Gabousse of Miami, Fla., received a nomination from his wife in recognition of his love for the Volvo brand, his tireless work ethic and their desire to find a safe vehicle as they start their family.

·         Caitlin Lowery of Baltimore, Md., was nominated by her father for her work in the Peace Corps where she worked as a literacy volunteer in South America. She is also beginning her Master's degree in International Public Health and needs a replacement vehicle for her current 17-year-old Volvo model.

·         Michael Timm of Des Moines, Iowa, received a nomination from his sister, who felt he could use a new vehicle as he launched a photojournalistic project capturing people struggling with language disorders throughout the United States. The purpose of his journey is to understand our communication efforts.
