At Fields Volvo Northfield, we are always looking for ways to improve the happiness and well-being of our customers. Fortunately, we have the opportunity to work in an industry that is filled with automakers who are always seeking out new ways to improve their product offering.
Take, for instance the highly anticipated vehicle that is expected to improve upon the 2014 Volvo XC90, which is already a Northfield favorite. In the 2015 model year, the cabin of the Volvo XC90 carries a larger, more efficient multi-filter. This change advances the automaker's CleanZone initiative -- the brand's method of controlling interior air quality, which, in turn, provides an improved driving environment that is built around providing innovative solutions to increased health and wellbeing.
What does that mean for you? Now, microscopic, hazardous "fine dust" particles will be unable to enter the vehicle. That's because the multi-filter's larger design captures more particulates and pollen while a layer of active charcoal removes many contaminants that can impact driver health.
The multi-filter is also one facet of the automaker's state-of-the-art Interior Air Quality System. Other systems include a sensor that monitors incoming air in an effort to detect noxious substances. Should the level of those harmful substances become too high, the vehicle's air intakes will close automatically. Harmful, irritating pollutants circumvented by both the multi-filter and sensor include:
· Hydrocarbons
· Ground-level ozone
· Nitrogen oxides
· Gases and unpleasant odors
As we continue to provide our customers with updates on the year-over-year improvements to Volvo vehicles, we hope that we will see you at our dealership for a test drive soon!
