Volvo models earn top safety ratings

Here at Volvo, safety has always been a top priority. We feel it is of the utmost importance to ensure the safety and reliability of every vehicle that leaves our lots. We're thrilled to announce that two of our vehicles were recently recognized for their strong performance when it comes to safety and today we'd like to tell you a little more about these awards.

Both the Volvo S60 and Volvo V60 recently underwent safety testing, and both came out strong - confirming our strong commitment and leadership when to comes to safety! The Volvo S60 earned the highest rating of five stars in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's crash testing here in the US, while the V60 earned five stars in Euro-NCAP testing for the Large Family category, as well as an award for its low-speed collision avoidance system, City Safety!

Of the recognition, Thomas Broberg, Senior Safety Advisor at Volvo Car Corporation, had this to say:

"It is very good news that our aim to offer customers the safest cars on the market is confirmed by several independent evaluations on different continents.
