In 1966, at the ripe age of 25, Irvin Gordon bought a 1966 Volvo P1800S for just $4,150, which was a whole year's salary at the time. This Volvo has stuck with him through the years - through family road trips when he had young children to road trips to auto shows now as a retired school teacher. He has held the Guinness World Records mark for High Mileage Vehicle since 2002 and was the first person to hold that record. An impressive feat!
Though his odometer doesn't have enough digits to display the actual mileage, but Gordon has tune-up records verifying it, and he hopes to reach 3 million miles by next year. Goes to show you the quality you get when you choose Volvo!
